Attention Christmas Shoppers:

The person working behind the counter that you yelled at today is in all likelyhood making minimum wage, is working just as hard as you, and is just as stress out about Christmas but with less money. They are likely either working insane hours at this job, or working two jobs to make ends meet. They are not stupid or lazy, there are hard workers who must smile when you threaten or insult them, and accept it all, no matter what.

They are NOT your personal punching bag. They are not responisble for you putting off buying Christmas presents till the last minute, or that the item you want is not there, or that your kids are cranky. There is very little chance that the person you are yelling at is in any way responsible for lineups, pricing, or availability.

So, treat them with courtesy. They deserve it. This is NOT a good time of year to work in anything customer service related. Try and factor that in next time you want to threaten the life of the person behind the counter because of the price of your kids' next tossed away toy.
